Numerous conflict zones are located in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). Exposure to wars, forced displacement, gender-based violence, and financial instability, can all contribute towards a negative impact on the mental as well as physical health of individuals living in these fragile and conflict-affected settings. Internally Displaced Persons face a lack of basic facilities, camps are located in resource-scarce areas, and massive humanitarian efforts are required to have positive impacts on mental wellbeing.
