Sutures. Master-class. Module 1

   With the establishment of HekimTap and Azerbaijan Medical University Educational Surgery Clinic on the 29th and 30th of August master-class called “Sutures. Theory. Practice” will be held by a member of the European Board Examination in Plastic Surgery Prof. Dr. Ilyas Akhundzadeh!

Training program:

The first day 29^th of August
13.30-14.00 Registration
14.00-14.10 Opening: Education manager Mammadova Marziyya 
14.10-15.10  Theoretical part: Skin structure. Definition of a wound, types of a wound. Recovering a wound, a gold period and initial surgical operation of the wound. Indications and contraindications of suture. Suture types.The usage of forceps, tweezers and clamps. Safety rules.
15.10-16.10 Practical part: external  surgical knot. internal surgical knot. Derma - entrance and exit sides of the needles on a sponge. Simple  indestructible sutures. Intradermal stich. Derma on a marked sponge. 
16.10-16.30 Coffee-break
16.30-17.00 Theoretical part: Serious wounds on face. Definition of suture kit, types of thread and needles, usage. 
17.00-17.30 Practical part: Mattress stitches – Horizontal, vertical, seton, indestructible. On a medical unmarked sponge

Second day 30^th of August
14.00-14.40 Theoretical part: Definition of anesthesia, medicine, application protocol, aftereffects and the removement of them. Characteristics  of stiches on lips, eyes, eyebrows, noseholes and ears . Main concepts about aseptic and antiseptic.
14.40-15.10 Practical part: Use of disposable medical gloves and cleaning wound with antiseptic solution (on a sponge) 
15.10-15.40 Coffee-break
15.40-16.00 Theoretical part: Discipline in surgery , subordination. Functions of Surgeon assistant
16.00-16.30 Practical part: Wound healing featuring the assistant : wound healing on a sponge soaked with “blood” (paint)  and assistant’s drown the wound with tampon.
16.30-17.00 Final exam. 
17.00-17.30 Presentation of the certificates.

Requirements to attend:
Training is only for doctors, residents and medical students. 
Language: Azerbaijani, questionarie in Azerbaijani - Russian
Certificate is provided (HekimTap)
The training is chargeable. Registration will be confirmed after payment. Last day for registration is the 27^th of August, 2017.
